Dress Code: Creams and Whites
There are about ten different colours of the highly valued Pearl stone, but the white and cream pearls have for many centuries stood out for their extraordinary beauty and subtleness. Guests are reminded to observe the theme colors, whites and creams throughout their stay, and especially flaunt it out on Saturday evening during the Getaway’s highlight Gala Dinner
Early Arrivals: Tue, Jul 17
Though the event commences on Friday,guests can arrive any day from Tuesday depending on their chosen length of stay. The program allows guests to shop, tour, golf and relax as they prefer. The main planned group activities begin on Friday evening once all delegates have arrived.
THE WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS
Friday: Welcome Social
Friday opens with a welcome social cocktail dinner and whisky tasting and sampling. A whiskey connoisseur on site will guide through the process. Innocent Kihika, President of Uganda Golf Union, gives an official welcome. Guests break ice and enjoy a light-hearted moment in the company of soothing music, while a household comedian Bexta hosts the evening to open the festivities
SATURDAY: Business Breakfast
a. Morning: The day kicks off at 8.00AM with a classic Business Breakfast which allows for guests to form and strengthen business ties. The session is graced by Stanbic Bank CEO Patrick Mweheire with a focus on wealth creation and investment opportunities across the Africa region.
b. Afternoon: Events then roll out and guests head to the golf clubhouse to enjoy live entertainment and socialize, enjoy the spa, play a range of games, and relax. Golfers get to tackle Kampala’s finest course while golf expert Fred Wanzala on site to coach non-golfers the basics of the game. There will also be vendor exhibitions of small businesses to enable for both souvenir shopping and even better, investment opportunities.
C. . Evening: The Gala Dinner: Saturday evening culminates in a spectacular themed gala dinner, a memorable and rewarding evening with an award ceremony and live entertainment that runs late into the night. Guests are reminded to dress for the theme on the evening and stand a chance to win a goodie bag for best dressed lady and gentleman. Sunday: Tourist Excursion
Sunday features a tourist excursion where guests get to visit another one of Africa’s beautiful gems. Guests will take respite from all activities to spend an exciting day on a refreshing boat cruise on the world’s second largest lake and the source of the Nile,L.Victoria. Excursions provide for unique experiences of what the destination has to offer. After the boat cruise the event will ultimately be closed with a remarkable ceremony, adding icing on a well baked cake
While guests can travel back on the Sunday afternoon, the last departures happen on Monday morning, allowing delegates from afar to connect via international airports.
